Just your classic "boy band" that any villainess-heroine collects naturally. XD They probably just decided to skip the intro eps for them since none of them are romantic possibilities unlike the counter-part anime starring our favorite bakarina, which HAD to give back stories since we needed to see why and how each one was involved with her.
These guys are handy support chars and tools, so they probably didn't feel explanations were crucial to the story at this time. Just my two cents though.
part of ending song with wacky raven was not bad.
still just 1 more ep left to change my mind.
change what mind?? ima finish this cause is good. dont be lazy b
It was pretty good, though. Sure, it's not a 1000000/10, but this anime is clearly going somewhere interesting. I recommend you watch it full. I mean, sure, a "3-episodes rule" is good and all, but you might end up missing some great stuff if you just abide by that rule.
We'll see. But tbh i don't smell any hidden gem on this one.
And we are full packed this season with more important stuff to watch.
Is that something that should be looked forward to? Sick ass individuals
I... Don't know? I mean, I already saw it in the manga, so I don't know if I can "look forward to it"; I'm just jokingly saying "look forward to it (Y'all)" but I don't mean I do so.
Ayo, context??
I see you are really good at predicting plots 😅; I just exaggerated.
sure np, yeah i've been a weeb for like 2 decades, so i've seen lot of stuff 😅
I hope you're Joking. You're Joking? Right? Right ?🙁🙁🙁
I'm kinda exaggerating, but not joking.
Well, what you're saying happened in manga but Let's see how The Anime will handle this. Cause I really don't think that this Anime will take such Dark Route. You know How This Production houses are like right ? They literally have No balls to Go Dark as their manga Counter part.
Yeah, I hope they somehow swallow their fear and add it anyway, but that's just hope 😥
WHERE CAN I READ THIS MANGA!!!
In "Mangadex".
Investing time into something not worthwhile is time that cannot be refunded. So, yeah, I am a full believer in giving shows a chance and deciding after going only so far with that investment before it's a full win/loss.
I don't follow the 3 episode rule. I've stopped anime after literally 30 seconds before. And sometimes it takes 5 or 6 episodes to realize I don't like something. There was one, that "Genius Prince" one, that I stopped before the very last episode.
To be honest, I'm already past using the 3-episodes rule. I just drop stuff when I find it a chore to watch. The sword isekai for example, I knew from the first episode that I wouldn't like it. There were shows that I dropped on episode 10. This one seems surprisingly decent, I'm actually engaged for now.
no, they arent introduced properly in the manga either but you get to know more about them over time.
ikr. also we're used to romance progressing much more slowly. but these aren't 14 year old high school kids too scared to even look at each other thank god
this
Idk he keeps teleporting away as soon as he gets the chance xD
he's just a tsundere. you're prolly not used to seeing a male version of those
Basicaly the same as teens that cant look at eachother and he did say that he wanted to spoil her and ruin her so must be a wierd tsundere then
but u r the expert when it comes to male tsunderes xD
Honestly, this comment so perfectly described what I was feeling. One of my biggest questions from the first episode is, when exactly did she enter the game world?
Like, was she like Katarina, having grown up in that world from a young age? Or did she get dropped into the game at the exact moment in the beginning of the first episode.
Originally, I believed it was the latter, but even with her boundless knowledge of the game it doesn't make sense what's going on. She talks with all of the characters as if she's known them for ages, but in reality, she should have been exactly how any other Isekai MC that hopped into a fictional world was. She should be fawning over the characters and be mentioning how exciting all of it is.
But they seemed to skip all of that and just take her straight to getting stuff done, missing a crucial part of being sent into a new world. BUT THE BIGGEST THING THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, is that they should realize she is acting strangely. The one friend says "you never change", which doesn't make sense at all.
Like, think about it, even if you played your favorite game over and over again, you aren't going to be EXACTLY like your favorite character if you enter that world. And even the SLIGHTEST differences would be picked up on by people that *really* knew you. Like how it was for pharma in parallel world pharmacy last season.
In the manga, Aileen explains that she was born into this world after dying of cancer in her previous life. She only regained the memories of her past life (Where she was obsessed with this otome game) due to the mental shock of being rejected by the prince. So she retains memory of both worlds, and she isn't fawning over the characters because she grew up knowing them, so it doesn't make sense to get excited like she was just dropped in the middle of the game.
This and some of the other comments have really helped me with understanding it a lot better. I know they mentioned her having the dreams of her past life, but I think it would have helped a lot if they went about explaining it a bit differently.
Like understanding this now, I can clearly see that she is "waking up" in the first part of episode one. But as someone with no prior knowledge, it leads you to believe that she had literally just passed away and been brought to the game at that exact point in time.
I really do appreciate everyone clarifying in the comments though, I feel a lot less confused than I have the last two episodes.
thank you so much for this comment! I fr would've had no idea that that's how things were based on how they showed it in the first eps.. like I really just thought she got suddenly isekai'd into the grown womans body after having died in her previous life and got plopped into the fantasy world
That makes lot of Sense.
She said she dreamed about her previous world a lot beforehand but looks like she didn't properly remember her past life until the shock of having her engagement cancelled.
Ah, ok that makes sense, so I guess she was reborn as like a young child in that world. Which would mean that she ended up following the game's pathing the same way Aileen did, all the way up till she remembered her past life.
when u put it that way...i get what u mean lol
I'm pretty sure they explained exactly who those people were....unless I was watching something different. I just can't.... Smh. Then all the upvotes....sigh
People are too smooth brained to catch context clues. We don't need the full backstory of every character. They were people she gathered, and had running businesses, but the prince stole the shops and axed the workers who were loyal to her. ezpz
Exactly!!!
YES....the exposition...we all missed that ^^"
my mind even forgot about it
This was my issue with the first episode.
Not all stories will have secondary characters dragging their backstory along with their introduction. It's easy to just consider the fact that otoge "villainesses" are often simply morally grey people and they would have established positive relationships outside their dynamic with the "heroine" and the "capture target(s)" which, when looked at through a historically aware lens, it's only natural to be negative when women are so vulnerable socially to scandals and issues related to marriage and potential adultery.
This is the way it was in the manga too, they just show up to be run of the mill side characters. The manga is only like 12 chapters, there's legit no room for extra fluff
Well, the show starts or rather, her memories from her previous life came to Aileen after the annulment of her engagement unlike HameFura where it all starts when she's still young. I agree with Fortune's Feline, since they're not a "romantic possibilities", their first encounter with our mc doesn't really matter, few background info is enough. And I just want to say that this one is short, i estimate that this anime will end with just 10 episodes since the sources is also too short.
Sources, You mean the light novels which 2-3 volumes would be more than enough for a 12 episode season?
I know that this is not based on manga, but in manga, they say that it's the same as LN, and they say it's short. Having that in mind, I don't think there's a difference between the manga and ln, and so, I still had this prediction that the anime will also end fast. Correct me if I'm wrong, since I haven't read the LN yet, I had nothing to prove here
There's currently about English 4 volumes AT LEAST so I'd say it's safe to assume it'll be a full season, although an easy way to check would be MyAnimeList's entry for at as they usually have a predicated number of episodes
I found it okay since it is the story plot armor. She got isekai'd in the middle part of the game she knew. Having the knowledge of the game she also have the knowledge of how her life went before hand.
Those guys around her are fairly introduced too. Remember again, she have been transferred there in the middle of everything so a big chunk of the back story is from the Aileen of the Otome game and not the isekaid Aileen . ^^
P.S. sorry my term is isekai'd since it was easier to understand XD Although there is a proper premised in the manga like she had a shock that made her recall her other world memories.
Why does it feels like I'm watching the 2nd season, not the 2nd episode? Who are these people and how did she know them? Did I missed something?
